A new special is revealed today with the Splatoon 2 Ink Sphere – and it has some serious Super Monkey Ball vibes.
New Splatoon 2 abilities, weapons and specials continue to be revealed via SplatoonJP, and today the Splatoon 2 Ink Sphere has been revealed.
This special will forge the offensive for your team, and can be used as defense breaker against the enemy team. You may even use it as a quick escape mechanism, as it looks set to protect players from a decent amount of damage.
Here is a new special weapon, the Ink Sphere.
While enveloped by this sphere, you can defend yourself from a certain extent of damage, and freely move around the battlefield.
When you hold the ZR Button for a long period, Ink will pool inside, and when it becomes full – an explosion of Ink will occur!
Jumping into the enemy front-line with this will surely cause disruption!

Let’s hope that the Ink Sphere makes the Retail release cut – though if it arrives as free DLC, it won’t be too bad.
