Splatoon 2 Twitter hints at Salmon Run bonus from Local Play

The Splatoon 2 Twitter has hinted at a Salmon Run bonus when you rank up in Local Play.

If you were looking for an incentive to play Locally with friends – Nintendo may have given it to you. Based on these recent Salmon Run related tweets, it seems there could be a bonus to be earned from leveling up in both Online Play and Local Play.

Salmonoids in action

However, the grind is real for Splatoon 2’s latest Horde mode – so it may be a while before you see the fruit of it. I haven’t tested this personally myself, so I can’t give you any more info than these Tweets.

Everyone, have you been hunting Salmonoids?
You can play Salmon Run through Nintendo Switch Online Play or gathering friends through Local Play.
Through Local Play, you can practice for Salmon Run, and prepare for your Online application.

Quite standard stuff – but here is where the kicker comes in!

While we’re here – the Online Play assessment is “100% Mastery”, and the Local Play experience rate is also 100%.
So, how then…it seems you can raise your experience level to 200%.
Practice in Local Play, then get heaps of rewards in Online Play!

Juicy – wonder what it could be!

Just in-case you didn’t know – SplatoonJP have also given us a reminder that you can access Salmon Run from the Menu. You can actually access any Lobby from here – 超 convenient!

The mysterious part-time job, Salmon Run – pressing the X button at Inkopolis Square displays the menu, and from here, you can confirm Salmon Run application times. Through here, you can confirm the next times you’ll be able to register for (note: the time shown here is for the Japan Salmon Run at from 3:00PM).
