The first set of Splatoon 2 maps have been revealed, totaling 8 for this weeks launch. Plus, details regarding entry to the Salmon Run mode have been revealed, potentially launching a few days later.
Splatoon 2 Maps
There will be 8 Splatoon 2 maps on launch – not bad, considering that Splatoon originally launched with 5 stages. Every 2 hours, there will be 2 stages selected from this 8 for use in Regular, Ranked and Squad Match. At this stage, no further details regarding new DLC maps have been provided.
From the Splatoon 2 launch date, in Regular Match, Ranked Match and Squad Match, there will be 8 stages.
Every 2 hours, there will be 2 stages to choose from, and you’ll be able to battle in either of them.
First, remember their traits, and in your own way find the most suitable weapon for each stage.

Salmon Run
In case you’d forgotten, the horde mode “Salmon Run” will be joining the Splatoon 2 mode list this Friday. However, the Tweet below seems to indicate it won’t be active until 3 days after launch. This article will be updated once clarified.
You’ll need to be at least Rank 4 to enter Salmon Run.
In this secluded area, Salmon are rampant, and the company Grizzco Industries (Japanese name: Kumasan) have begun taking applications for the part-time job, 「Salmon Run」。
Three days from the Splatoon 2 launch date (7/21), a large amount of Salmon will spring forth, and you’ll be able to apply for this high-frequency job.
Participating will require a Rank of 4 or higher, so, why don’t you take the chance and engage in the battle that is Salmon Run?
