Splatoon 2 will support existing Splatoon amiibo – just not for the upcoming Global Splatfest. And that’s OK!
Unsure what the Commemorative Photo is, but we’ll soon find out. Good to see continued support for existing amiibo (if you can get your hands on them).
As has already been advised for Splatoon 2, when registering a Splatoon Series amiibo, players will receive special Gear, their saved user Customisation, as well as being be able to take a commemorative photo together.
However, for the upcoming Festival Eve Splatfest, Splatoon amiibo can’t be used. Our apologies – we hope you understand.
